• ZIP code — to tailor recommendations to your climate and growing zone
• Garden preferences — sunlight availability, space size, and growing goals you provide
• Payment information — handled entirely by Paddle; we never see or store your card number
• Usage data — standard web analytics (page views, session data) via browser-native signals

2. How We Use Your Information

• Generate personalized plant recommendations for your garden
• Deliver your plant guide and weekly care emails
• Send weather alerts relevant to your growing zone
• Process and manage your subscription
• Respond to support requests
• Improve the Service

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following trusted services only as necessary to operate Evergreen:

• Paddle (paddle.com) — payment processing and subscription management. Paddle is the Merchant of Record and maintains its own privacy policy.
• Supabase (supabase.com) — secure database hosting for your garden data and subscription status
• Resend (resend.com) — transactional email delivery
• Anthropic (anthropic.com) — AI-generated plant recommendations. Your ZIP code, sunlight, and goal preferences are sent to generate recommendations; no personally identifying information is included in these prompts.
• Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) — weather data for your ZIP code (no personal data transmitted)

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Email Communications

By providing your email, you consent to receive your plant guide and, if subscribed, weekly care emails and weather alerts. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by visiting myevergreen.garden/?cancel=1.

5. Data Retention

We retain your garden data and email address for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion at any time by emailing support@myevergreen.garden.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
• Opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell data)

Evergreen uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to remember your garden preferences on your device. No cross-site tracking is used. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Evergreen is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email.
